Improv 201 - 6 Week Course

An intermediate improv course exploring using 'Game of the Scene' to create scenes that look like comedic sketches.

This course will introduce you to a structured way of approaching an improvised scene, using a strategy called ‘Game of the Scene’.

The Game of the Scene allows us to hone in on the funny idea we are creating, and to explore and reincorporate that idea in a way that resembles a written comedy sketch.

Using long-form improvisation, participants will get a crash course introduction to:

-Creating a base reality

-Establishing ‘The Game’ with your scene partner

-Communicating ‘The Game’

-Heightening and Exploring ‘The Game’

-Organic vs Premise Initiations

Suitable for players with previous improv experience, i.e. who are comfortable at initiating two person scenes. This is a workshop for adults.
